The most notable feature of Silkie chickens is their silky, fluffy feathers, which are soft like silk due to a lack of barbicels (the hooks that normally hold feathers together). Their feathers give them a fluffy, puffy appearance and can come in a variety of colors, including black, white,Silkie chickens are considered a small breed, with hens weighing around 1.3-1.5 kg and roosters around 1.8-2 kg.
